About the role

Certified Residential Appraiser, Dallas

PahRoo has been solving complex real estate valuation puzzles in Chicago for 26 years. We are not a volume shop, nor an AMC. We are a consultancy that helps clients make confident decisions today that transform tomorrow.

We’re growing in Texas and have an opportunity for a Certified Residential Appraiser in Dallas to join our team. If you own assignments end to end, deliver quality work, hit deadlines, and enjoy working in a team environment, you’ll love being part of the PahRoo team.

The work

What you will be doing

You are the appraiser, and you own the assignment from start to finish:

  • Engage with our CSR team for assignments
  • Schedule the property visit
  • Conduct property observation using mobile technology
  • Research, analyze, and reconcile market data into a supported opinion of value
  • Coordinate with internal QC and the client on any report clarification

This is not a desk-only or hybrid-support role.

Requirements

What we are looking for

Required

  • Active Texas Certified Residential Appraiser license through TALCB (Certified General also welcome)
  • Minimum 5 years of residential appraisal experience in the DFW market
  • Real knowledge of DFW, from Lakewood, Oak Cliff, and the Park Cities out to Frisco, McKinney, Southlake, and the rest of the suburbs. Not just textbook knowledge.
  • Knows how to build credible sales data in a non-disclosure state
  • Complies with USPAP and current GSE guidelines
  • Proficient with TOTAL by a la mode and open to emerging technologies
  • Comfortable conducting field inspections with a tablet
  • Valid US driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience working with AMCs
  • Openness to learning new assignment types, including litigation support and property tax protests (DCAD, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton appraisal districts)

Compensation

How you get paid

50 to 60 percent fee split, based on experience

This is a high-volume engagement, and your earnings scale with your quality output.

We bring the work. You do the appraisals. No client development. No cold calls. No chasing.

Why PahRoo

Who you’d be working with
